I grew up in an Evangelical Christian background. I attended non-denominational Evangelical churches most of my life and received my undergraduate and graduate education at Christian universities. I had relatively healthy church experiences, overall.
However, I was negatively affected by some Christian teachings, particularly purity culture, patriarchy, and legalism.
I went through a period of “faith deconstruction” in my 20s. Today, I still identify as a Christian, but practice a more nuanced faith that embraces ambiguity and questions instead of “black and white” answers and certainty.
I have a passion for helping people heal from the toxic parts of religion while holding onto their faith.
Through my coaching, writing, and speaking, my goal is to validate, challenge, and empower you as you find healing and freedom.

My Values
01 Empathy
In my writing and coaching work, I want you to feel seen and encouraged. You are not alone and your feelings are valid. I strive to speak words of grace, empathy, and truth.
02 empowerment
I empower my readers and clients to find their voice and to think and live differently. You can heal from toxic beliefs and make embodied changes. I also believe in gender equality and female empowerment.
03 Nuance
I strive for both/and instead of either/or thinking. We can walk the middle path and explore our beliefs even with doubts and uncertainty. As a Christian who has deconstructed and reconstructed my faith, I appreciate a nuanced belief system that makes space for dialogue, questions, and critical thinking.
